When no ones watching By E. Jameson

Awards and metals can be petty little things.
What really matters most is what you do when no ones watching.
The person you are,
and the person you choose to be,
when no one is there to judge you.

Are you like a junkyard dog?
Mean, spiteful and violent?
Ugly from the inside out because that is all you know,
or choose to know?

Or are you kind, thoughtful and selfless?
Like Snow White, or Mother Teresa?
Beautiful from the inside out, not because it is all you know,
but what you choose to know.
Well, no matter what you are truly like,
ugly or beautiful,
just remember; someone is always finds out.
It may not be right now, or today,
but somehow, someone will find out about your wrong doing.
It is impossible to keep a secret forever.

You can take it to the grave,
give it to a friend,
or bury it in a box,
but one day, they will know.

So you must choose.
Good or evil?
Great or terrible?
Because unless you make a choice, the grey area in between brings nothing but grave mistakes and hardship.

It is true though, that we all make mistakes.
no one is truly perfect.
But we can strive to be.

So I ask once more:
What are you really like when no ones watching?
